The West Indian-American Association of Greater Bridgeport (WIAAGB) is a non-profit 501(c3) tax exempt organization which serves as a beacon of hope in the Caribbean community. We are a community oriented, social organization devoted to people with inadequate resources, limited opportunities and leadership in maintaining and fostering Caribbean culture and education. We provide services with emphasis on the City of Bridgeport, and to the Caribbean, one of the neediest regions of the world.
WIAAGB wears the mantel as “ambassador “in the Caribbean community. We fulfill our mission with our compassionate and dedicated members and a very small operating budget. We have no paid staff, funding is by dues paid by members and the modest proceeds from three events per year that we offer. We are all volunteers and a hundred percent of our financial resources go directly to fund our programs.
